Investing in a shot blasting machine

We have recently installed a shot blasting machine at Swebor which is used to remove oxide scale layers from the steel plates after the heat treatment process. Basically we drive the plates thru the machine which inside it has 4 turbines, these blow granulate on the surface and remove oxide scale – a nonmetallic layer. Only green recyclable material will be used as shot blast media.

With this investment we can now offer our customer faster processing of our steel material as they can skip one step in their operation as the plates have to be cleaned before welding and/or painting.

The shot blasting machine is used for steel plates mainly. But it can also be used on our edge and bar profiles.
